The codeshare agreement follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the two airlines in April 2019. Low-cost carrier SpiceJet reached a code-sharing and interconnection agreement with Dubai-based Emirates on Monday until the government approves it. The codeshare agreement means that travellers from around the world can book a single ticket for each of the nine Emirates points across India and connect to 172 domestic routes that are part of the SpiceJet network. SpiceJet`s domestic network includes popular destinations such as Goa, Dehradun, Dharamshala, Jaisalmer, Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Guwahati, Pondhicherry, Port Blair, Shirdi, Tirupati, Udaipur and Varanasi. “We are very pleased to be working with Emirates on this new codeshare agreement that will provide our passengers travelling to and from Europe, America, Africa and the Middle East with a seamless travel experience and as wide travel opportunities as possible. Cash-Miles is used only as a means of payment for the basic rate and excludes taxes and royalties.
This benefit is only available on Emirates flights and not for other airlines with which Emirates has a codeshare agreement. SpiceJet has also signed an Interline agreement with Emirates, which allows its passengers, for a period of travel from December 15, to check in their luggage at the first airport for the entire journey consisting of flights of both airlines. According to SpiceJet, the agreement will allow travellers to and from India to access a wider and stronger network. According to the statement, customers will be able to book flights for flights from 25 November 2019 during the first phase of the Interline agreement. From March 2020, Emirates is banking on gas price guarantees. There are two types of entertainment system on Emirates: ICE and ICE Digital Widescreen. In February 2019, Emirates signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus for more than 40 A330-900s and 30 A350-900s, with the entire A380 order reduced to 8, after which Airbus will stop producing the A380.  In November 2019, Emirates announced a $16 billion contract for 50 A350-900s, which replaced the Feb.
